As our bike tour guide said, summer in Sydney means lots of bodies, bikinis, and board shorts. Sydney is all about the water. The city revolves around Sydney Harbor and the people love their beaches.

We stayed in downtown Sydney at the center of all of the action. We got a great sense of the city via bike tour and loved walking around the harbor exploring neighborhoods like Barangaroo (our favorite for the style and the name).

The Coogee to Bondi Beach Coastal Walk was the highlight of our time in Sydney! About a two hour walk along the cliffs and through the beaches had us saying that we cannot wait to be back in this cute little beach town! The other popular beach for locals and tourists is Manly Beach. We spent a day relaxing at this world famous surfing beach as we tried to blend in with our rental umbrella. At one point, the lifeguards called everyone out of the water because of a shark sighting. Although frightening, it made our experience a little more authentic.

We ended our time in Sydney by climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge! Like all tourists, we couldn't leave Sydney without doing it. So we strapped up in our jumpsuits at sunset and climbed the bridge overlooking the harbor, Opera House and city. It was the perfect way to end our stay. We are already planning our next trip back!
